Cast Away

Chuch Noland, a Federal Express boss, travels around the word to fix his company problems that’s making him always busy. Suddenly, they asked him to leave for an important work .On the other hand, he promise his girlfriend to marry her, so he asked her to wait for him until he comes back . The plane crashes into the ocean because of the strong storm. Chuck was the only one who still alive. As a result, he lived on to abandoned island. However, he stayed alone trying to live, after a long time his feeling leads him to kill himself. Finally he decides to build something to help him to float on water going back to his city.

Subject: Workshop report

Summary

The following short report summarizes the results of the blogging workshop.
The report also offers suggestions for improving future projects.

Introduction

The workshop was given in the lab room (10.20.6) from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Sixteen students from the college attended.

Results

The purpose of the workshop presentation was to show the students how to create a new blog and how to add multimedia to it.

This objective was met. Every student successfully sat at a computer and started working on the blogs. However, it took longer than originally expected. In the feedback forms, two workshop students said they would have liked to listen only instead of listening and working at the computers at the same time. The rest of the participants said they liked the workshop very much. Other suggestions given from the participants were to be better prepared, start on time, and speak more loudly.

Conclusion

In conclusion, our project went very well. All the participants were able to create a new blogs and to add videos, pictures and slideshows to them. Fourteen out of sixteen participants said they really liked the workshop and two wanted to listen only without working with us at the computers.

The next time I do this type of class project I would suggest we start the workshop earlier before the end of the semester, so that we have enough time to prepare. My favorite part of the workshop was inviting my friends. I also liked teaching my friends and showing them what English I have learned in my computer class.

** A HEALTHY WAY TO USE YOUR COMPUTER **

1. If you work in a room with a lot of computers, sit 1 m or 20 cm away from other monitor.

2. You should get a good chair, one that support your lower back and adjustable.

3. You should stay an arm’s length away from the monitor.

4. You should give your eyes a rest.

5. You should position the keyboard same hight as your elbows.

Hi Nadira
How are you? I’ve looked at some computers and I have a good suggestion for you.

I looked at three types of computers which are iMac, Dell and Hp. Hp has the biggest capacity of all. It has 350 gigabytes of hard drive space. The iMac is the most expensive at $1200. The dell has slowest CPU at 1.8 GHz

I suggest you buy HP because of the good capacity and good price, but that option is without monitor, so you should buy a monitor by your self.
